Sunbathing

The question “How do you pray?” was asked of Jesus and is still asked of religious leaders today. The Archbishop of Canterbury likens it to sunbathing – simply being still where the light can get at you. I love the simplicity of that approach.

Know, like and trust

As a rookie in the business community I was intrigued by their motto “People do business with people they know, like and trust”

Networking simply means getting to know people, seeing how you can help them and trying to make a good impression so that they feel comfortable with you and would have no hesitation in recommending you to their friends and contacts. Only then can you attempt to ‘sell’ them your products or services.

It struck me that Christians and the churches to which they belong could learn a lot from this approach? What do you think?

Thanksgiving – anyone for dinner?

This is an American custom held traditionally on the last Thursday in November, when extended families make the effort to get home and gather to enjoy good food and give thanks for the good things in their lives.

Anyone can enjoy it, So why not invite some friends and neighbours to a Turkey dinner? If anyone wants to join this and make it a big joint event, then start your dinner at 8pm on Thursday 27th November in the knowledge that lots of others are doing it at the same. Let’s compare recipes in the forum section.
