There's something for everyone! Enjoy quiet reflection in our prayer room, creativity in our craft room, or relaxation by the pool. Indulge in unlimited tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, plus delicious meals. Evenings bring uplifting entertainment, fun, and time to connect.

What will the programme be?
We will have a full programme planned, but remember, it's your weekend, so take some time beforehand to read and tailor the experience to your needs and desires in this season of your life. Stay informed with our full interactive programme, accessible online before the weekend or through a small paper copy upon arrival. What's included in the price?
- Access to hotel facilities on Friday before 3pm check-in
- All rooms are ensuite, with fully accessible rooms available upon request
- Six delicious meals included, catering to all dietary requirements:
- Hot meals on Friday night, Saturday lunch and dinner, and Sunday lunch, offering a variety of salads, starters, soups, mains, and desserts
- Full English and Continental breakfast served from 7-10am (sleep in if you like!)

Are there any age restrictions for attendees?
We cherish and recognize the presence of God in all generations, from ages 11 to beyond 90+. At Activate, our core desire is to see all generations come together, inspiring and learning from one another.
For attendees under 18, parents are responsible, but we have Polly, our wonderful Miss Activate coordinator, who will gather them at designated points for games, lunch, and swimming. We're deeply committed to supporting the next generation as they explore ways to share their faith. As they discover their identities in Christ, we delight in guiding them to live for Jesus in ways that reflect their unique interests and personalities.
Simultaneously, we value the wisdom and experience of our older participants. Their presence enriches our gatherings, offering invaluable insights and perspectives. We encourage intergenerational connections, fostering a community where everyone is valued and respected.
*We offer special rates for both 11-17 and 18-24-year-olds sharing a twin room.
Can I bring a groups?
The Activate Weekend Away welcomes individuals, families, and groups alike! Chat with our team about how we can assist you in advertising or coordinating a group. We've witnessed churches successfully do this by organizing pre-weekend meetings, ensuring time together during meals, and even arranging post-lunch gatherings on Sunday for debriefing and reflections. Some groups also continue to meet throughout the year to encourage one another.
Can I come for the day?
Absolutely! Simply book as a Day Delegate. If you're attending in this capacity, please go to the hotel reception and follow the signposts to the main room through the dining area. At the back of the main room, you'll find the Activate information stand where we can welcome you and provide you with your programme and lanyard. Looking forward to having you join us! Remember, everything you need can be found in the online programme or in the Frequently Asked Questions section.
What is the accommodation like?
It's technically a 4-star hotel, but let's be honest, we give it a solid 5 stars! The accommodations, food, facilities, and staff are so exceptional, we had to add an extra star just for good measure.
Don't wait too long to secure your spot, as rooms tend to fill up quickly! If you require an adapted room, please book early, as availability is limited. While we strive to accommodate requests for keeping groups and families together, please note that this cannot be guaranteed.
Single and twin rooms are available for accommodation. All rooms are accessible by lift, and a limited number of fully accessible rooms are also available. Each accommodation includes the following amenities:

- By rail: 11 miles from Northampton and Rugby railway stations
- By air: 32 miles from Birmingham airport and 50 miles from Luton airport
Can my dietary requirements be catered for?
Be sure to specify your dietary needs on your booking form, and we'll communicate them to Staverton Park Hotel to accommodate your requirements.Take advantage of 'Menu Checkers,' held on Friday upon your arrival, from 5:30-6pm, located on the Mezzanine. This is your chance to seek reassurance from the chef regarding any dietary requirements. Although we've already informed the hotel of your concerns.
I have other specific needs. Can these be catered for?
Your comfort and accessibility matter greatly to us! The meeting rooms and accommodation are designed to be easily accessible, with level pathways and lifts. There are fully accessible bedrooms available, but please note that they're limited, so booking early is recommended!
We also take into consideration the needs of attendees with neurodiverse requirements. Quiet zones and sensory-friendly spaces are available, providing ample room to find a peaceful environment. Our Prayer Room and Create Room are perfect for this purpose, and the mezzanine area offers a relaxing space to unwind.
Understanding that everyone absorbs information differently, we provide Helcyon baskets filled with fidget toys, colouring supplies, quiet crafts, and blankets. Feel free to make yourself comfortable wherever you choose to be!
Additionally, for those who may require assistance with hearing, there is special hearing loop in the main meeting room. Simply sit near the front for the best experience!
If you have any other specific needs, please let us know on your booking form, and we'll do everything we can to ensure you're taken care of. What is the event cancellation policy?
- Full fees payable at time of booking.
- Cancellations are possible up to a month before the event and only granted if there is a medical emergency. All cancellations must be received in writing and incur a £25 administration fee per person.
- Bookings can be transferred for a £10 per person administration fee if requested in writing. If you don’t have anyone to take your place, please contact us. You could consider donating it to someone who cannot afford to come.
- We recommend you take out holiday insurance as we are unable to offer refunds for circumstances outside of our control.
- In the event of changes to the programme or speakers, we are unable to offer refunds.
- Your email address will be included on a secure MailChimp database in order to update you on your weekend away and keep you up to date with Activate news (you can also sign up here).

Is there a dress code for the event or specific activities or at the weekend?
We're all about relaxed and comfy clothes here. Some of the rooms can be warm, so layers are advised. However, if you're feeling like you want to dress up, Saturday evening is the perfect time to do so! Rachel, one of the team members, loves a glitter dress to show off her dance moves at the disco, while Rhianon prefers a long dress with as many patterns as possible. Others might opt for jeans. But remember, there's no pressure – just come as you are and enjoy yourself. Comfort and feeling comfortable are key. We don't dress to impress; we dress for who we are and how we feel comfortable. You might even spot some of our guests in slippers – comfort is key!
And if you're planning to use the gym or pool, don't forget your swimming costume or gym gear.
Will pastoral care and prayer support be available?
Our prayer team will be available after main sessions, offering to pray alongside you. While we're here to support, please remember our role is not counseling. After the event, lean on a trusted friend for ongoing support, or explore our signposting page for professional assistance. Your well-being matters to us.
Is there onsite parking available? If so, is there a fee associated with parking?
There is free parking available on site! Additionally, there is accessible parking spaces located conveniently close to the main entrance, making it easy to access the main door for everyone.
Can I charge my car?

The charging station has a capacity of up to 7.5kw, the flow depends on your vehicle.
Are there any volunteer opportunities available for attendees who want to get involved?
If you'd like to lend a hand, we'd greatly appreciate your help! Volunteer opportunities include tasks like watching the meeting doors to prevent them from banging during sessions, welcoming and assisting with directing people to rooms, accompanying attendees to their rooms with their bags, joining the meet and greet on Friday to get to know new people, keeping an eye on the Create room or Prayer room, and tending to the Helcyon baskets to ensure these areas are tidy and ready for people to enjoy. Alternatively, simply take some time to spread kindness and show appreciation to others and the hotel staff. Your support plays a crucial role in making Activate a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all. Additionally, if you or someone you know is proficient in sign language, even for the worship songs, we'd love to have you join us!
