Introducing the newest Activate resource, Be – Godly Wisdom to Live By.
Written by Fiona Castle and the rest of the team, this is a beautiful hardback book of 365 days of devotions to encourage and inspire you.
‘Be’ was inspired by Romans 12:12: Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. When we were looking at this verse as a potential theme for our upcoming weekend away, we became very excited by the potential of the many ‘be…’ titles we were coming up with for seminars and talks. We were inspired to go one step further - Fiona assured us it wouldn’t be too hard to write a whole year’s worth of devotions on the theme! The idea was to work on it together and write it over one day until we realized it would take a lot longer than that! The project grew from there to include a team and to write a devotion for each day and from every book of the Bible.
As you know, we’re passionate about connecting with women of all ages. The devotions are written by women at different stages in life. This variety and wealth of experience will appeal to women of every generation. It’s more than a devotional, it’s a reassuring chat with friends. We’ve written for people like us – vulnerable, honest, willing to reach out and keen to have an active faith.
You’ll see it promoted online, and it will be released on 11 February. However, because your support has inspired and enabled us to go ahead with the project, we want you, our Activate supporters to be together when you first get your hands on a copy. We also want you to join us at our official launch on 5th March! Do you know where you’ll be that Saturday night? If you’ve booked onto our Be weekend away, you’ll be at Staverton De Vere Estates with us, all dressed up and ready to celebrate!

It’s not every day any of us get to go to a book launch and we’re having a lot of fun planning a great night (and inventing what a book launch should be, as we don’t really know either!)
