Milford on Sea

What a day....

We recently enjoyed an amazing day away at Milford on Sea. With over 70 people in attendance, it was a special day filled with laughter, fellowship, and delicious food, including some unforgettable homemade soup.

What people are saying...

How did you feel about the day?

A day packed with spiritual and practical ways to live my best life for God.

Amazing, thought provoking, challenging, inspiring - all given with love, joy and fun. Thank you!

It was very encouraging to meet with ladies from other churches in the area and join in worship together

The Day was well presented with contrasting speakers all with insights, humour, wisdom and fresh ideas for living out our Christian faith.

What are you taking away?

The importance of being a role model through living life differently, being ‘set apart’ but ‘real’, rather than having to talk at length about scripture.

To engage more with neighbours and non Christian friends gently and sensitively. Getting to know where there are needs and showing Jesus's love in action.

To be compassionate to others, especially the lonely and isolated and to be bolder in spreading the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I took away an exhilaration about God's acceptance of me with all my shortcomings and there was hope and help for me to show Christ's love to all I meet in my daily life,

God is at work and we need to be prepared to play our part in accessible ways to best meet those we love and come into contact with.

Our theme for the day is... Night and Day - Join Hayley Nock, Sarah McKerney and Rhiannon Goulding and the team as they explore 1 Peter 2:9-12. Together we’ll examine how Peter gives us a strategy and new perspective on how to live as a Christian: how to function and survive in very difficult circumstances, what it means to be ‘born again into a living hope’ and how this impacts our daily lives in 2024.

Here is some of the feedback from past events.

Could you describe the day away in one sentence?

  • Inspiring, encouraging and real.  It’s a great day to learn more about God, myself and those I live and work with.
  • I came away feeling blessed and more confident, so thank You!
  • It was easy to understand and practical: you can take it into your walk with the Lord and reach others in little ways.
  • An uplifting, empowering and enlightening day which has helped me to be equipped to go forward in all aspects of my life.

What is your main 'takeaway' from this event?

  • How we can have an impact on others using different stratagies.
  • Blessed - learnt a lot from the speakers. Lovely songs to worship God with all the ladies there.
  • I honestly feel that I'm taking many opportunities to tell friends and neighbours about Jesus and help them on their journey towards him.
  • That being ‘me’ with God at the centre is enough. I’m thankful that my eyes have been further widened to how ‘power’ is misused in all walks of society, including in our own home. With this information and support today, I can make healthy changes to my relationship and in my workplace.

Any other comments.

  • The speakers were excellent, well informed and obviously have a heart for what God has led them to do.
  • The speakers were fantastic, very real and honest. Looking forward to going to the next event.
  • I wasn’t sure what to expect- Evangelism is a big word, but I could understand about Love and I felt enabled to show it and have God use that in His way.
  • Felt very loved and looked after. And to be able to worship with other ladies. A very special day. Thank you.
