Cosy in and listen up – The Lighthouse

This half term has been a challenging one. But on Friday we visited this lighthouse.

As I stood underneath, looking up at it’s awesomeness, it was a powerful reminder of God.  Solid, powerful, awesome, safe, and a watch against the danger.

The sky had dark clouds and blue skies, as in life we have good and bad times.

Climbing the 139 steps my daughter wobbled. Like in life, I told her to put her head down, and take one step at a time. Sometimes we just have to do the next right thing.  The reward at the top was worth the wobble. The view was amazing.

On the rocks stood a viewing platform where we watched seals playing. It was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t believe we were so close.  A lady standing next to me, said “this makes my heart sing”.
It really, really did.

The lighthouse was Gods provision for me. He’s looking over me, protecting and guarding. An awesome protector.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Psalm 32.8

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5.6-7
