We were thinking of what we could do for our next womens’ event and realised that our event was scheduled to take place within the fair-trade fortnight, so decided that it would be good to give the evening a focus by supporting fair-trade. We have ordered an event pack from the website, and have contacted local suppliers of tearfund and traidcraft (if you don’t know anyone contact them through the website and they will put you in touch with someone local) so we can have stalls present on the night. To make the evening social and relaxing we have decided to serve cheese & wine, and we are looking to have some craft on the tables as this helps people interact. A great cause to support and all proceeds from the evening will be given to Fairtrade.
