Wellsprings – New 8 week Pampering Course

Wellsprings is a new eight-week course of refreshment and pampering, looking at issues women face today from a Christian perspective. It offers a ‘pre-Alpha’ evangelism course suitable for single and married women – those who have contact with Christians through friendship, or church activities such as parent and child groups or keep fit classes. Developed by Baptist minister Leesa Barton, and published by the Baptist Union, the course aims to strengthen the relationships that have been formed with these women; to explore practical ways to treat and look after themselves; to address key issues that affect women today; and to share relevant Christian truths.

Each session includes a brief talk on a topic relevant to women today:

Rest and Relaxation
Acceptance and Security
Worry and Anxiety
Failure
Beauty / Self Image
Healing and Forgiveness
Influences
Self Image

The individual talks given by Leesa are available on the included DVD, or can be adapted by a group leader using the notes in the book. An important part of the evening is a ‘pampering’ experience in which each participant is offered a professional treatment relevant to the evening’s discussion, such as a foot massage or makeover. The whole event is set in comfortable surroundings with light refreshments.

To launch this new course, Leesa will be offering events which will include a demonstration and practical advice about running the course, along with a meal. These will be suitable for women in churches who are considering running a Wellsprings course.

The first Wellsprings Launches will be held at:
Ashurst Drive Baptist Church, Ilford – Tuesday 25 May – 19:00-21:30
Thornhill Baptist Church, Southampton – Thursday 15 July – 19:00-21:30

Cost £20 per person including an evening meal and an opportunity to buy the resource at a discounted price.
