International evangelist Andrew Palau will start a 10 day mission in southern England on 16th April. Andrew is passionate about the life changing power of Jesus Christ. Although he grew up in a Christian home, Andrew came to faith, following a life of alcohol and drug abuse, and committed his life to Jesus Christ after 27 years of living apart from Him.
Andrew’s father is world evangelist and author Luis Palau and when, in 1993, he joined his parents for Luis’ evangelistic outreach in Kingston, Jamaica, he met Wendy whom he later married. He and Wendy have two sons and a newly adopted daughter and live in Portland Oregon close to the Palau ministry HQ. Andrew and his wife Wendy hit the headlines a few months ago when they walked away from a plane crash in Kingston, Jamaica, with barely a scratch.
Andrew directed the Palau festivals that marked a key shift away from the crusade model for evangelism and the first two festivals were staged in the Palau’s home base of Portland, Oregon in 1999 and 2000. Recent outreaches have taken him to India, Romania, Poland, Mexico, Egypt and Jamaica where he shared the Good News with thousands demonstrating his love and passion for Christ.
‘There is power for change in Jesus Christ, the cross, His blood, His burial, and His resurrection’ says Andrew who longs for ‘people to embrace God’s gifts of forgiveness of sins, the Holy Spirit to empower life and the assurance of heaven for eternity’.
Andrew and other evangelists will speak at events in Tonbridge, Haywards Heath, Chesham, Brighton, Gatwick, Burgess Hill and Marlow. As part of the mission, a skateboard and bicycle stunt team will travel to many schools, where they will give high-octane stunt displays and share their testimonies. Andrew will then present a message about making positive lifestyle choices encompassing issues such as bullying, drug and alcohol abuse.
