Inception - the Matrix for 2010?
My son persuaded me to accompany him to watch the new Leonardo DiCaprio action heist movie - Inception.
I was entertained, baffled, intrigued, moved and emerged into the night full of questions. All around me other viewers were echoing the queries in my head - discussions about dreams, reality, guilt, perfection, time and love were breaking out in the cinema forecourt.
Further confessions of a Reading Group addict...
I first heard about reading groups from Helen Cooke some years ago at an Activate conference. Moving to Dorset and trying to meet new friends gave me the opportunity to join a local group. I loved it!! I am now a member of two local groups and I set up a third at my son's school as a way of getting to know other mums better. All the groups meet once every six weeks or so, meaning that I usually have three books on the go at any one time.
The Father's Song
With Father's Day approaching, click on the link below to hear Matt Redman sing 'The Father's Song' showing the enormity of God's love for us ...'you sung it over me and for Eternity it's written on my heart'. A beautiful message ♥
Live a life that matters...
I came across this piece recently - the author is unknown. What I found in the message was that the qualities of Christ living in us matter more than anything.
Ready or not, some day it will all come to an end. There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours, days.
All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to someone else.
Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance.
It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.
Your grudges, resentments, frustrations, and jealousies will finally disappear.
'A Time To Love'
A thought provoking classic from Stevie Wonder featuring India Arie and Paul McCartney.
